Tourist Visa for USA (CITIZENS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION)

Nationalities participating in the "Visa Waiver" program can apply for ESTA authorization to travel to the United States for business, tourism or transit for up to 90 days.

Below is the list of countries that are part of it: Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Chile, South Korea, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Japan, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, Norway, New Zealand, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Hungary.

All other nationalities or for those who will be traveling for periods longer than 90 days, the visa must be requested at the Consulate.

About ESTA USA

The acronym ESTA stands for " Electronic System for Travel Authorization ", or "electronic system for travel authorization". This is a US Customs & Border Protection security measure that aims to keep unwanted travelers away. When you apply for an ESTA, US Customs & Border Protection will assess whether you pose a security risk. If no risks are found, the request is approved. ESTA is not a physical document, but a digital travel authorization. After approval you will receive a confirmation in PDF format. You don't need to show it anywhere. At check-in, it will be checked if you have a valid ESTA based on your passport number.

From the moment of issue, the ESTA USA is valid for two years. During this period of validity, you can travel to the United States of America an unlimited number of times. Each stay in the USA can last a maximum of 90 days. Any intermediate or subsequent stays in Canada, Mexico or on a Caribbean island must also be included in these 90 days.
